Blue Star Museums

Free Museum Admission for Blue Star Families (Active-Duty Military).

Select Portsmouth Museums* – including the Portsmouth Art & Cultural Center, The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum, The Lightship Portsmouth Museum and the Portsmouth Colored Community Library Museum – are again participating in the Blue Star Museums program. Each summer, this annual collaboration between the National Endowment for The Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and participating museums across America provides free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and up to five family members. A valid military ID is required.

All active-duty military families can access this great opportunity to explore participating Portsmouth Museums*

• Also open to National Guard and Army Reserve families
• This summer, explore naval history, art and more in Portsmouth!
