The Coleman Collection continues to offer a visual treat for all ages young alike who come to visit the animated scenes of ice skaters and children sledding and more.
This 4-person art exhibition features paintings and drawings influenced by contemporary Black Culture that traces its roots to the Caribbean, Northern Africa and beyond. Featured artists are Anthony Burks, Sr., from Florida; Portsmouth native and now Florida resident Ramel Jasir; Arthur Rogers, Jr., from Charlotte, North Carolina; and Clayton Singleton, from Norfolk, Virginia.

The Southside Community Band was formed in the Fall of 2017 from a core of experienced musicians who have played together for years. They will play for a free concert during the Olde Towne Portsmouth Farmers Market.
April is Kite Month, during which the museum recognizes this annual spring event by offering kites that can be colored so visitors can create artwork that flies. The Kite Art Activity is free.
