Take this 90-Minute, guided walking tour of historic Emanuel A.M.E. Church – founded in 1772 and renowned as an important stop on the Underground Railroad. Meet the heroes and learn about the fascinating history that makes this a perfect walk to take during Black History Month.

Black History Month Quilting Workshop

Portsmouth Public Library - Main Branch 601 Court Street, Portsmouth

Learn about the use of color and geometry in African American Art and quilting. Afterwards, participating will hand sew a quilted t-shirt inspired by the artists! Registration required.
