Meet a Beekeeper at Paradise Creek
September 26 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Buzzing with energy and perfect for all ages, this free event invites you to step into the world of honeybees, native pollinators, and native plants. Local beekeepers Lacy Shirey and Bill Gregory will guide you through the fascinating lives of these tiny powerhouses—how they work, communicate, and keep our ecosystems thriving.
Guests can safely peek inside a live observation hive, sample fresh local honey, and even craft their very own bee house to support native pollinators at home. It’s hands-on, sweet, and just the right amount of adventurous.
Perfect for curious kids, nature lovers, gardeners, and anyone who enjoys learning something new while having fun.
FREE – registration required. Donations accepted to support the Elizabeth River Project’s environmental programming.
