Event Details

The 2021 Spring Farmers Market will began in April and will operate until early December, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check back with us often for updates. The Farmers Market now operates in the parking lot of St. John’s Episcopal Church. The church is at 424 Washington Street, and there will be market parking available on Washington Street and on a lot just off Washington, south of Queen Street. There will be no cars allowed in the church lot – only foot traffic. All customers and vendors must STILL wear masks and social distancing will be enforced. Gloves will be provided and required for any “low touch” shopping. Some vendors are providing pre-orders for pick up or grab boxes. The Portsmouth Farmers Market offers seasonal fresh produce; artisan breads, pies, cakes, scones, savory biscuits, brownies, cookies and other baked goods; beef, poultry, eggs, and seafood; jams and jellies, salsas and sauces; plants and flowers; hand-crafted soaps and more. Several farmers specialize in heirloom produce and free-range poultry and eggs, and most products are locally grown/raised without the use of chemicals or hormones. Portsmouth’s Master Gardeners sell potted herbs and are available for free consultation about gardening in the region and special programs and workshops.
