Go Skate Daze 2023

It’s almost time for Hard Times Go Skate Daze 2023. Hard Times GO Skate Daze is a free 2 Day community event that will take place at Cradock Skate
Park, 4117 George Washington Highway. On June 19, Hard Times Skate Shop will host their 3rd Annual Juneteenth Jam. The last 2 years this event was very successful, and a great time was had by all. On June 21, we will kick off the first day of Summer by hosting Go Skate Day activities. This is Hard Times Skate Shop 3rd year hosting the Juneteenth Jam. It’s
starting to seem like it’s become an annual thing. Every year we try to add something different to the event for the community. In 2021 skateboard legend Clyde Singleton hosted the event. In 2022 we celebrated our 10-year anniversary with a carnival themed party. This year we wanted to focus more on our charitable efforts and donate complete skateboards and safety helmets to the local youth. Their skateboard contest will be in a Jam format with free entry just like the previous years before. Our best trick contest has been coined “Best Trick on the Bank” where skaters go all out in a time best trick session for cold hard cash. There will also be food trucks and vendors, games, a variety of vendors, and much more. Hard Times Juneteenth Jam will start 11AM and end 5PM. So come out and have a great time.

June 21 is Go Skate Day, a globally recognized holiday among skaters and it is also the official first day of Summer. This year we will hit up Cradock Skate Park with the crew and have a good ole time. Some of the activities we have planned are park clean up, summer camp sign ups, beginner lessons and refreshments. This is a great way to kick off the 1st day of summer. Hard Times Go Skate Day events will kick off at 12PM and end at 4PM with the park clean up. Hard Times Skate Shop is a core skateboard shop that specializes in the sale of skateboards and skateboard related products. We first open our doors for business on June 7, 2012.
